Reaction to "Why the Web Still Matters"

The report from Flurry stated that people spend most of their time on apps rather than on their internet browser, leading to the question: is the Web dead? Ben Thompson responds to this in a very organized and educated manner. He reminds us that while a significant amount of time is spent on apps, they are very one dimensional; for example, the Facebook app only lets you go on Facebook. The internet is used to fill in all the gaps of what people need, when their apps are of no help. There is such a variety of places to go, particularly for reading, on the Web that it is not quite time to announce it dead just yet.
